| The success of large-scale genomic and protemic analyses hinges on the realization of high-throughput screening and massive parallel testing technology. The advancement of Lab-on-a-Chip provides the total solution. Lab-on-a-Chip is a miniature device that allows large number of biological reactions and detections to be performed simultaneously on the same platform in a precisely controlled manner, with only minute amount of reagents and analytes (pico- to nano-litre). We believe Lab-on-a-Chip will revolutionize the practice of medicine, especially clinical medicine and laboratory-assisted diagnosis. |

| Our revolutionary Lab-on-a-Chip successfully combines technologies in molecular biology and microelectronics. Used in conjunction with our proprietary bench-top workstation, Lab-on-a-Chip allows rapid DNA-based analysis for both clinical and non-clinical purposes. Greater speed, sensitivity and accuracy are achieved using our field-assisted hybridization technology (patent pending). The entire system can be tailor-made for practical use in doctor's offices, clinics or hospitals. Initial Lab-on-a-Chip version will allow clinical diagnostics for infectious diseases, such as avian influenza, Hepatitis B, and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and molecular testing for genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in food. The next generation Lab-on-a-Chip will incorporate more features into a single automatic setup, so that sophisticated, time-consuming and operator-dependent diagnostic protocols can be transformed into simple, fast and automatic processes. |
