TFSL Launches Traditional Chinese Medicine Authentication

Dr. Terence Lau, Executive Director of The Food Safety Laboratories Limited (TFSL), has publicly announced the launch of its “Chinese Medicinal Materials authentication”, making it the first private food testing company to bring advanced molecular technology for the authentication of Chinese medicinal materials to the local and international market.

Developments in biotechnology-based testing technologies have resulted in advancement in accuracy, sensitivity and speed of tests. Molecular technology provides an independent approach for the authentication of medicinal materials and will provide immeasurable support and benefits to the trade industry in addressing important safety issues associated with quality assurance.
